It is an honor to be participating in this contest and I will try well to be explicit. The Steemit platform is indeed a resident platform for many and I believe every single user is gradually and consistently advancing on the platform.

I joined the Steemit platform in November 2021, that is to say, I have lasted for close to 3 years on the platform. Meanwhile, these years have been fun, educating, and entertaining though I have somehow not been regular as a result of mothering stuff and some other engagements.
During this period I have been on the platform, I've realized and you will believe with me that the steemit platform is a lucrative source of income if one can be committed and consistent. Within these years I have noticed lots of changes and improvements compared to when I initially joined. Although there aren't many changes to the interface, but activities have greatly improved. For instance, steemitcryptoacademy was the leading community with lots of well-paid engagements and assignments.
Nowadays, things have taken a different shape as many other communities have arisen and are doing quite well with engagements such that the platform has become educationally competitive and users' knowledge is constantly widening.
There are a good number of features that come with the steemit platform which enables us users to have a broad involvement and uses with limitations. Some of these features stand to typify steemit or serve as steemit identity. One of the fascinating features of the steemit platform is the upvote and downvote buttons which we all use to determine the fate of we users as regards what we gain or lose from the curator's activities.
We are also given a button to choose either to follow or to unfollow other users on the platform. In addition, we can also share our publications on other social media platforms such as X channel, Facebook, etc despite they are centralized platforms. The Steem Backed Dollar (SBD), Steem Power (SP), and TRX are basic inevitable benefits that come with being an active user on the platform.
The memories of how I was introduced and how I got interested to remain unforgettable. Just like other contemporary social media platforms, steemit allows all users to share their content, publications, etc without any form of fear.
Two outstanding things that made steemit distinguished are its reward system and the fact that it is a decentralized platform. Steemit users referred to as 'steemians' are entitled to earn simply from making good content or publications no matter how small the reward value may be. These rewards are given in crypto forms that can equally be converted to any regional currency.
The requirement is just making or publishing content or an article. The amount of energy and interest invested while making use of those other social media platforms can be channeled to steemit and make earnings that the other social platforms can't offer. Steemit platform is capable of paying one's bills.
I have seen this acronym many times most commonly in the reviews of community moderators and also in steemworld.org. I think it stands for Community Search Index.
CSI shows the extent of support or votes we have given to other steeminas on the contents they published. CSI is followed by a count that shows the amount of self-votes (if any) and the votes given to others.
Steemit platform is made up of curators and authors and these two are complementary. Curators are simply those set of users whose major job is to add value to a user's publication utilizing their SP which is their influence.
Truth be told, they are joy givers as their upvotes are very significant and mean a lot to users. In fact, when they show up on any publication the author is bound to smile. However, all of us are curators but the effectiveness of our upvotes depends on our CSI and SP. The more they grow, the higher the impact our upvote will have.
SP is short for Steem Power. It shows the degree of influence of a user in the steemit platform ecosystem. SP can be earned anytime a publication is made in any community. Half of the earning is automatically powered up giving rise to SP.
Another way of earning SP is when SBD is changed to Steem and then powered up. Steem in the wallet is disposable and can be utilized directly but as soon as it is powered up, it goes into SP (Steem Power) and it takes a couple of weeks to get it back to steem.
When a powerdown is initiated, it takes 28 days to be fully executed or completed. Powerdown is a process of getting SP back to Steem. This process is divided into quarters as well as the value of the SP. In the first quarter, one-fourth of the SP drops as Steem and is sent to the wallet. This process continues until the final quarter except it is suspended.
