picture from contest
It is very important for us to be aware of what is happening around us, hence, we watch the news, radio, and do a whole lot other things for informing. Another way for us to know what's going on around us is by keeping our eyes open, and being observant, hence I find this contest very important and useful.
Reporting live from sapele road, Benin city, the only huge thing happening is the construction of gutters along the road as we can see in the picture below.
The construction of these gutters have long been overdue due to the fact that the previous ones have been completely covered. As a result of that, anytime it rains, the road is always a mess. The only problem is, I heard they don't plan on repairing the bad roads. Of what use is creating gutters when there are no good roads? I hope I heard wrong tho.
I also spotted some faults in the work the engineers did. I'll like to talk about just two of them.
As we can clearly see in the picture above, the construction was not done neatly. I noticed some bumps and cracks on the newly constructed gutters. The implication of this is that the engineers either failed to do their jobs properly, or they did it with substandard materials.
The picture above shows the second limitation. They failed to complete their work. The gutter was not linked to the road by the engineers after they did their work. This caused the owners of the businesses along the road to arrange for people to link it for them. The people they called, are not professionals hence while they were doing their work, alot of sand and cement ended up in the gutters, ruining the work the engineers did.
Overall, I'm happy about the construction of the gutter but hope next time, appropriate steps should be taken to ensure a proper job is done. I invite @bossj23, @mmekan and @vudeme123 to read this post and try out the contest.

In the tapestry of gratitude, @professorlenz, I extend my sincere appreciation for generously unraveling the chronicles of the evolving symphony of drainage system construction in your local haven. It's a captivating journey into the nuances of civic development initiatives, with a tinge of melancholy upon encountering the documented constraints and blemishes in the unfolding narrative.
The issues you unveiled, threading through anomalies, crevices, and the unfinished opus, evoke a cadence of contemplation regarding the caliber of the construction and the artistic finesse demonstrated by the engineers orchestrating this grand performance. In an ideal crescendo, infrastructure endeavors should dance to the rhythm of meticulous precision and an unwavering commitment to detail, not only ensuring their immediate harmonious functionality but also composing a timeless melody of endurance.
Your sagacious observations and the conscientious dissemination of information on these subjects contribute to the harmonious symphony of community awareness. The resonance of accountability echoes through the corridors of authority, particularly in the tapestry of standards that adorn public ventures. With optimistic notes, I anticipate that your concerns shall be acknowledged, prompting the maestros to conduct requisite measures to rectify the identified discords in the drainage system construction.
May you persist in your virtuoso endeavors, weaving tales of reportage and actively contributing to the prosperity of your community! Should the muse lead you to uncover additional updates or insights, let them dance freely upon the pages of shared narratives.
