Assalamualaikum! Start with the name of Allah Who is the most beneficent and merciful. Today I am going to discuss about feelings, traditions and my activities on the Happy New Year.
What are my favourite New Year traditions or customs?
As a Muslim I believe that new year is a decrease in a person's age. So decrease in agr of a person is not a thing to celebrate or to have a fun. So I just don't like the celebration on the new year's first day. I just like the good addresses given by spiritual peoples at that day. I offer extra prayers on first day of the year. I use to pay thanks to Allah Who gives us the opportunity to enjoy one more year of life.
Do I have any special resolutions or goals for the upcoming year?
Yes off course I have a lot of new new resolutions and goals for this next year 2024.as I am a university student so my first aim now these days is to achieve a good CGPA in my first semester, I am working hard and making a good effort to achieve my this precious goal in 2024. My other goals in 2024 are to buy somethings that are liked very much by me. One of those precious things that I wanna buy this year is a heavy bike. This is my main dream to buy a precious and a good looking heavy bike. I just love the heavy bikes and I also have a good collection of pictures of heavy bikes. This is not my goal this is also my dream to have a good looking heavy bike. I wanna buy this bike by my own without my parents or anyone else's help.
How do I celebrate New Year's Event? Any unique or memorable experiences to share?
I am not interested to celebrate such a nonessential event. I consider it just an extra or useless happiness that people celebrate with a full joy. As a Muslim, I believe that new year is an announcement that we have lost on more year of our lives. So we should not celebrate such a nonessential event. I demand forbid from Allah for my previous year that I've spent against the rules of the Allah. Then I pay thanks to Allah Who gives me a chance to live one more year of life. I offer extra prayers on first day of the year.
How do I feel about the concept of "New Year, New Me"? Is it something I embrace or find overrated?
This statement or this concept may have different ideas with respect to different minds of different people. But, as a Muslim, I take this concept also with respect to Islam. My thoughts about this concept are as .... I think so that this concept may be right because it tells us that the new year brings us to a new life in which we should look throughout our life in the previous year. If we had any bad habits in the previous year, so we should leave those facts and should start a new life, with good things that cause happiness in our life and also make the Allah happy for us. In this way I think so that this concept is right.
What do I wish for myself and others in the coming year?
In the new year for myself I wish the completion of my all of those goals that I have set up for myself. I wish that this new year may brings happiness for everyone and everywhere. I specially wish that Allah may make our country Pakistan a good and a joyful country for us which may have not any political, social, and any else issues. And my second and most important wish in 2024 is the independence of Palestine. I wish that Allah may help those people that are being murdered everyday by Israel with having no fault.
