Electronic addiction can be defined as the excessive use of digital gadgets such as phones, laptops, television e.t.c.

- Distraction
It really has lots of negative impact on me, I'm usually distracted whenever I'm with people because of the attention i gave to my phone. Sometimes in a middle of conversation, I get lost or miss a point.
- Vision problem
Sometimes, after using my phone for a long while, my eyes and head hurts me badly.
- Procrastination
I procrastinate alot, sometimes, I would say that I will do a particular thing by this time but I usually ends up postponing it because I was pressing my phone.

Funny enough, these days I find it quite hard to stay without my phone maybe because it's also doubles as my working tool. I use my phone for atleast eight hours in a day and stay away from it for about 16 hours.

The side effects of Internet addiction is enormous, some of them includes.
- Eye problems
According to research, constant exposure of the eyes to phone, Computers, Television can cause serious vision problems.
- Insomnia
According to research, constant device use can affect our sleep pattern which can lead to inability to sleep.
- Relationship problems
Electronic gadgets can cause one to constantly ignore, isolate family members which can lead to conflicts, misunderstanding and malice.
- Mental issues
It can equally increase the symptoms of ADHD and OCD
- Body pain
Sitting at one place constantly and staring at the phone can lead to body pain.

- Do other things for fun
Engage in other fun activities like reading, painting, hanging out with friends during leisure time.
- Seek for help
If there is need for it, seek for professional help.
- Discipline your self
Cut down on constant usage of electronic gadgets especially during work, walk and in the dinning room.
- Prioritize physical activity
Participate in other physical activities that are healthy like games, exercise etc.
- Relaxation
Sleep and practice mindful meditation
during free time
