How do you explain fundamental human rights?

Human Rights can be seen as the those inalienable Privileges and benefits enjoyed by the Citizens of a particular Country. This Fundamental Human Rights operates in every Country in the World with some slight differences. Some of the Human Rights includes the following.

  • The right to life.
  • The right to ownership of Properties.
  • Right to freedom of Movement.
  • Right to freedom of Worship.
  • Right to vote and be voted for.
  • Right to fair hearing.
  • Right to freedom of Speech.
  • Right to Justice.
  • Right to work.

And this rights are classified into three.

  • Civic and Political rights, known as First right.
  • Economic and Social rights, known as Second right.
  • Environmental rights known as third rights.
Characteristics of Human Right
  • Interdependence
This means that all this rights works hand in hand.

Do you think all the citizens have these rights, or is it only made for the rich? (You can give examples if any).

Well in my Country Nigeria, I would say that the Rich and influential enjoys this Human Right more. I have heard stories of the poor that were oppressed and maltreated by the rich and the issues was swept under the Carpet. On a daily basis, we witness cases of Land ownership between the poor and the rich and the Rich most times ends up getting the Land because of money and connection. So many people has been killed and the case closed just because the Prime suspect is rich and influential. I can go on and on to talk about this issue.

Have you been deprived of expressing your fundamental human rights before? What action did you take?

Well, I haven't found myself in a situation whereby my Fundamental Human Rights was deprived.

Mention and explain at most three fundamental human rights of your country.
  • Right to Life
This means that every Citizen of my Country has the right to Life. This means that Incessant killing of Human, Inhuman treatment and Torture is highly prohibited and anyone found violating this rights is made to face the full wrath of the law. Therefore the Government makes everything possible to ensure that the Citizens are safe.

  • Right to Fair hearing
This right explains that as a Citizen, you won't be convicted of a crime without being heard in the Court of Law and this is while, If you don't have money to get a Lawyer, the State provides you with one to ensure that your case is presented well.

  • Freedom of Worship
This right means that as a Citizen, you have the right to Worship anywhere you like.

Which of the fundamental human rights should be removed from the law. (Give your reasons).

All the Fundamental Human Rights enshrined in the Constitution of my Country Nigeria are very important and Valuable to the Citizens. Non of this rights is greater or better than the other and they're all interdependent on each other. The Human Rights are all beneficial to the Citizens and therefore, none of them should be removed.
