Application for steemit Engagement challenge season 20|Individual challenger

Hello friends and steemit team!!

It's with great excitement I write to you today. When I saw the new changes on steemit blog concerning engagement challenge application, I was filled with joy. I want to say thank you for the opportunity to send in my application, hoping that I am considered.

My steemit experience

My journey on this amazing platform began in February 2021. And since then I have been active, posting, commenting and serving in various capacities. I am from Nigeria, I speak English and live in the city of Lagos.

I have gained so much knowledge on this platform and I have been able to connect to friends that I would never have met if not for steemit.

I have always supported the initiative of the steemit team and have contributed to the growth of steemit through supporting other steemians, powerups, hosting contests and engaging in contests too.

I presently serve as a moderator in two communities like steem4nigeria and steemladies. I have experience with been a community curator, as I have worked with July team of curators under team 7( Steem's Angels) and August curator under team 2(professional curators), this year.

Real world experience and expertise I would want to bring

I am a very hard working lady. I am a geographer and environmental manager. I also have a degree in administration, having worked as an administrator of an organization for the past 7 years.

At leisure, I love to see movies. It helps me think critically about life. Movies for me serves as a form of relaxation no wonder I started a weekly publication on steemit known as movie highlight.

Some one once said; all work without play makes us dull, for this reason I have decided to bring on board some challenge on movies, something that we would enjoy doing even though it's comes as a task, a debate or questions.

I have noticed we do not have such on steemit and this is the reason I would want to fill up this space where steemians can relax a little while writing.

Week one : Introduction to movies

Story telling has moved beyond writing into projections on our different screens giving us a better view about stories with a lasting impression. Sometimes, these stories makes us laugh, sometimes sad, sometimes scared, it all depends on the stories told and script written.

Questions 1
In your opinion what does movies mean to you and how often in a year do you see movies?

Question 2
Do you prefer going to the cinema to see movies or staying at home to see movies?Why?

Question 3
What is the name of the movie your saw last? Who was your favorite actor and your reason for choosing the actor?

What was the feeling you got while you were seeing this movie? Will you recommend it to someone?

Week 2 : Classes of movies

Movies spur us with diverse kinds of feelings. When I was younger, I saw a zombie movie and I got scared for weeks. There are different classes of movies, there are the ones that makes us laugh, which are seen as comedy movies. There are movies that inspire the feeling of love, they are called Romantic movies. The ones that spurs fear, they are horror movies. There are the ones full of magic, science fiction, adventure, and so on..

Question 1
What class of movie do you like to watch? Tell us why you love such movies.

Question 2
You have an assignment to see a movie under the class of movie you love and answer the following questions.

A) What is the name of movie you watched?
B) What story did the movie convey?
C) What would you change about the movie if given the opportunity to rewrite the script?

Week 3: Script writing

Stories told with the mouth can easily be forgotten while stories written down can last for a long time been told, acted or read. Script writing is simply the art of writing your own stories down for the purpose of acting.

Questions

1. If you are given an opportunity to write a movie script, what kind of movies would you write?

2. In script writing, you must have the main actor of the movie, do you believe that the main actor of the movie must always get what they want? Like never to die in action movies? What are your reasons?

3. write a short movie script on a story with a happy ending

Week 4: Movie Debate

Have you ever seen a movie in a company of friends or family members? Was there conversation or argument about the movie while you all saw the movie?. Sometimes it's cool when friends argue about an actor, scene in a movie or the story line of the movie, it inspires communication and learning.

Debate questions

1. Are you for or against the statement; "Good actors brings out the best of movies and not the story line of the movie". Support your argument with reasons.

2. "movies contribute to the violence we experience in our world today" Yes or No"? Give us your reason?

Week 5: Movie Review

In my home town it is said that before the tummy eats food, the eyes eats the food first. This actually speaks of the food presentation which can be called review. The way a movie is reviewed or told to you can either spur your interest to see the movie or not.

Questions
Watch any movie you like and do the following;

1. state the name of the movie, Time duration of the movie, year the movie was released, who is the director of the movie, mention 3 casts from the movie.

2. state your personal opinion on the movie and rate the movie from 1-10

3. Would like to recommend the movie to people? Give your reasons.

Week 6: Movie Awards

Awards encourages us to do better, they may not be the actual value for efforts but it shows that you are appreciated.

Questions

1. Between these heroes, choose three of them that you can describe as your best heroes, back it up with your reasons. Superman, wonder woman, Harry Potter, Batman, spider Man, Iron man, Jack Sparrow, Simba, Aladdin and Shrek.

2. what is the highest award given in firm making or movies called? Do you think actors deserve an award? Why?

3. mention 5 movies you have seen this year that deserves an award

4. Who is your greatest actor of all time, it doesn't matter the movie. What features do you like about this actor.

Conclusion

It will be such a great honour for me if I am considered and chosen as one of the individual challengers for engagement challenge season 20.
