Introduction

Happy Sunday steemians, I hope you all went to church. I went to church and I enjoyed today's mass alot. I wish to thank @lhorgic for organizing this nice contest.

Going to school is very important for a child as well as our youths. We acquire more knowledge of life in schools and we also get more disciplined and acquire more skills and other things like being able to work out

What is your thought and perspective about the statement,do you agree with this statement.

This thought about school na scam school na scam is so dumb and senseless. Anybody who makes that statement seriously, is a lazy and senseless being, he/she wants to reap where they never sow.

I don't agree with this statement because is not right to be a human being that lacks education because if you are not educated, my dear friend you have higher chance of getting cheated. You will necessary wisdom to survive in life.

Do you think this statement is valid or misleading?

This statement is very misleading, because of the bad leadership in my country Nigeria, alot of youths has been misleaded with this statement. Normally children attends the primary and secondary school but when their eyes has been opened to see the real world, the begin to behave anyhow and they wouldn't want to continue their education by going to school because they have the strong believe that once they graduate from school they won't get a job.

For a youth not to get a job after spending 4-5 years in school, that means the leaders are sending an indirect message to students that going to school is a waste. This statement has made alot of youths life miserable and unbearable.

Yes I do have. A friend of mine refused to finish his secondary school education 2 years ago, he was behaving anyhow in school and was no longer serious with his studies. I asked him one day to know the reason he has become unserious in school and he told me this👇

My elder brother graduated from the University last year and has been looking for job ever since, he became tired and he's now a photographer instead of constructing roads and buildings as a civil engineer graduate
This guy's brother is feeding himself with the skill he learnt after secondary school and he asked me what's the point going to the university. Last year this friend of mine is regretting why he didn't finish his secondary school education because he has seen a nice job and he doesn't know how to write an application letter.

That's when he realized school is not a scam. You can imagine he can't write an ordinary application letter. He begged me to help him then and I refused since he said school is scam then he should do himself and not seeking help from somebody who went to school. He didn't get the job because nobody helped him.

If you're in support of the statement, what would be your alternative to schooling and if not what would be your advice.

Now you come sir @lhorgic, my alternative to schooling is learning a skill, wheather I agree to the saying that school na scam or not, I will still keep on learning a skill. Just look my friend's elder brother I just talked about, is it not the skill he learnt after secondary school that's feeding him now?

Let me inform you again, am currently learning a skill and am proud of it, even though am not getting paid and nobody has been giving me money for the past 5 months, I will continue to learn how to barb till I graduate from learning.
Youths should engage themselves in one or two skills or better still they should come to steemit 😁.

This country is never straight forward and that's why am not even depending on the medical course I want to study in school because anything bad can happen but God forbid 🙏. As a smart citizen of Nigeria, backup your education with a skill.

Conclusion

Lo and Behold, this friend of mine has gone back to school by force 🤣. I couldn't hold the laughter in my body the moment he told me he's going to go back to school. He was even ashamed to tell me the news that day and he's now in SS 2.

My dear brothers and sisters please don't get intimidated by your environment, nobody knows tomorrow and it is important to prepare yourself for the future by going to school because, No condition is permanent. Thank you.
