Good morning steemians! Is an honour participating in this contest. Honestly it is better to be late than to be the late because in whatever we do, we need to consider our life first just hope you all will enjoy my story.

The foolish doctor

Mary is a young spinster who lives with her friend Jane I a two bedroom apartment. Mary is also a doctor, she's a lover of all and she's caring and fun to be with. Mary graduated from the University 2 years ago and she luckily got employed as an assistant doctor in her uncle's hospital.

Mary is also a God-fearing lady, she prays and read her bible often. One of her major prayer points is for God to give her a good husband who will love for who she is and not because of her money. Jane on the other hand, is engaged and about to get married soon. She's a secretary in one of the popular companies in Nigeria and she a nice and caring lady as well. She normally accompanies Mary to the orphanage every first Sunday of the month, to provide gifts for the children there.

So one fateful day after Jane has already gone to work, Mary received a phone call that she's needed urgently in the hospital that morning. Unfortunately for Mary, she was still sleeping when she received the phone call, it was her ringtone that woke her up. Then it was half past 7 in the morning.

Mary started preparing for work in a jiffy, she was just doing everything in a hurry, she was just running helter skelter round the house in the name of getting to work on time. In this process of doing everything in a hurry, Mary unknowingly spilled water on the floor close to the sitting room. When she was about to enter the sitting room she slipped and fell, she hitted her head on the tiles and she screamed for help immediately.

She was bleeding badly, she managed to crawl to the sitting and collect and phone from the center table and called Jane to save her life. Jane was shocked and scared, she quickly took an excuse from her boss and rushed home, she was even fortunate she didn't got involved in motor accident as she was driving with so much speed. When she got home, she rushed Mary to the hospital and Mary was in coma.

Mary regretted her actions that day the moment she fell down. Jane wept bitterly when the doctor told her Mary has lost her memory and it will take more than 4 years for her to be normal. Mary losed all the knowledge she had acquired in the medical field as a result of this memory loss.
Jane said to their other friends and colleagues that "it is indeed better to be late than to be the late" Jane thanked God Mary didn't die.

Conclusion

Dear fellow steemians please avoid doing things in a hurry that might lead you to death, in life. Mary is fortunate she didn't die. Please you all should stay safe for your family and loved ones.

I invite @precious123, @ogwo and @okere-blessing to participate in this contest, there's no time friends.
