Hello guys,
It is a great pleasure to be part of this week's accelerator contest hosted here in this community by @steem4nigeria's official account. It is already week 37 and the topic of discussion says Everyone is a Winner.
Indeed it is a good topic to discuss and I will be making my entry to this regard. So without further delay, let's get started right away by answering the questions that come with the contest below.
What do you think of everyone being a winner on STEEMIT? |
---|
The concept of everyone being a winner on Steemit is indeed a very nice one and the reason why I have agreed to this is not far-fetched. Steemit is a platform where people put in their best to write and publish articles so if they have put in their best to do that, then I guess rewarding them for their effort won't be a bad thing.
I remember when @steemkidss hosted a contest where everyone who participated got something tangible either information of an upvote or SP reward. This encouraged all those who participated in the contest because they weren't left empty-handed.
So in my opinion the concept of everyone winning in Steemit will go a long way in making the various Steemians participate in activities knowing fully well that they will be winners.
Everyone being a winner doesn't mean everyone will have the same gift or prize but there should be something to encourage those who participated so that they too will see value in what they do.
So that is what I think about everyone being a winner in the Steemit platform. I look forward to seeing this implemented in some of our contests since we have limited resources and we can not make it possible in all contests.
Is the idea of everyone winning on STEEMIT fair exciting to you? |
---|
Yes, the idea of everyone winning on Steemit is fair and exciting to me and the reason is that everyone deserves to be acknowledged for the little work they do. When you encourage people for the little things they do, they will be motivated to do more.
So the idea is a good one because it will make people continue pushing no matter the little reward they get. Since their effort is being appreciated, they will have high hopes that all will be better someday and they may be given a bigger reward.
I want to believe that everyone on the Steemit platform also desires to be a winner in one way or another and they will gladly accept this offer if presented to them to make their choices. So I concur with the idea and indeed it is an exciting idea for me and I guess for all Steemains as well.
How does the concept of everyone being a winner on STEEMIT affect user motivation? |
---|
Users' motivation can be affected by this concept in the sense that users may not necessarily put in their very best any longer to compete with other Steemians and the reason is that they will also be declared winners even if they put in their best or not.
When this happens, people will be writing just because of the reward and the major desire for making the writeup won't be any longer. Also, people will not go deeper into research of any sort before making their publication because there is no point in making your article stand out when you all will be winners.
Currently, you see the struggle Steemians are going through just to be selected among the winners, this is what makes the platform more exciting because you will see more engagement, more quality publications, good use of markdown, and many others.
You learn almost every time you read through some user's posts because of the way they present their publications. They spend more time doing that and that makes the platform interesting without that competition the platform won't be fun again.
Any challenges with everyone being a winner on STEEMIT? |
---|
Yes, there is a challenge with everyone being a winner on Steemit and I have highlighted it above. I said in the above question that once everyone becomes a winner, the aim of the competition and contests organized on the platform will be defeated.
The major aim of having a competition is so that we can select the best among the list of competitors. So if we select everyone and applaud them then the aim is defeated.
This will make many Steemians lazy and not willing to work hard and also bring out the best in themselves. The quality of content we will be seeing on the platform will also reduce drastically and that won't be good for us.
What content would you create on STEEMIT to be a winner? |
---|
There are lot of content to create on the Steemit platform that will make you a winner. Every content that is detailed and adds value to the ecosystem can grant you a win in the platform.
In my opinion, if you want to be a winner on the Steemit platform, you need to put in your best when writing any publication i.e you must ensure your article is at least 350 words, you are using your image or copyright-free images adding their sources, also applying a good markdown to your work, engaging with other users via comments and lastly using Grammarly as a tool to checkmate your English and unnecessary wrong spellings and grammatical errors.
If you are doing the above-mentioned things in your post, you can be sure that you will be a winner in some of the contests or engagement challenges on the Steemit platform. You will be surprised to see how far you will go in the platform because you are active and you obey some rules.
Finally, I would like to invite a few friends to also join the contest here and share their opinions about the said topic. I invite @josepha, @suboohi and @msharif.
