Introduction

Hello steemfam, This is another contest on this platform. We would be talking about "worrying". Facing problems is part of being human. At every phase in life we are either tackling one challenge or passing through a condition in life.

Now the problem is not actually the main problem, it's how we react to it. Do we begin bailing and worrying or do we start sorting after solutions.

What does it mean to worry and is it bad to do so?

Worrying means to be uncomfortable or overly disturbed by conditions or situations in life. That is being troubled, distressed or mentally agitated hence being deprived of one's peace of mind.

Worrying is not exactly bad but it is strongly unadvisable. It can be detrimental to our health and cause diseases related with anxiety to act up.

Nevertheless, worrying is literally being human. You can't just tell a mother whose child is being operated in the ICU to not worry. It just won't be easy for her to do that. She is bound to be worried even if she tries to remain calm.

Does worry solve problems? If yes, why? If no, why?

No, worry solves no problem at least not the problem at hand. In fact, it makes you more anxious and unable to think straight. If you are observant, you would realise that people that overly tend to realise easy solutions to the problems they are facing when calm.

Now this is because, in a state of worry, panic or sudden shock as a result of a problem, our entire attention is on the problem, it's gravity, what it may metamorphose into, the losses we might incur, the shame, the pain and all that.

The more we keep thinking in that direction, we become distressed and anxious like the world is about to come to an end or our situation is impossible to change. This sudden outburst of emotion can be compared to our reaction when we are suddenly angry.

With time we are bound to calm down and begin to look into this from a more clearer point of view.

Highlight 3 causes of worrying and 3 consequences of worrying?

Three Causes of worrying

There are some many reasons why people get trapped in the state of worry, a major one is;

Accidents: Accidents are unexpected events that are unplanned for. Upon the occurrence of an accident especially serious or fatal ones, we tend to worry because we are unaware and unprepared for what these accidents may lead to.

Work: Work is a source of worry for most adults especially those with family and responsibilities. They are constantly in a state of panic and worry about loosing their job.

Three consequences of worrying

Sickness and Disease: Overly worrying can result to a wide range of illnesses including high blood pressure, heart diseases, diabetes and so many others

Accidents: When worrying to much, we tend to get more anxious and hence unstable leading to the occurrence of so many unplanned and unintended accidents on our parts

Mental instability and insomnia: Insomnia is also a major consequence of worrying. Inability to sleep due to lack of peace of mind. This can also result to severe mental instability in rare cases.

Worrying can be almost impossible to avoid but you can definitely prevent it from behind too much.

  1. Always be prepared: Unexpected incidents happen everyday. Incident that we definitely didn't expect. Like having a flat tire on your way to an important interview. To prepare for this getting a Jack and learning how to use it will go a long way.

  2. Rest and Health: Good health and consistent rest can reduce the probability of being more stressed and anxious upon the occurrence of an unexpected event.
