There goes that care free creature that croaks all night, leaping from spot to spot, slippery and agile it escapes the predators hands, ... This unique make of nature is intriguing and today I present to you - The frog

Drawing a frog
What was needed;

Like a pot of soup requires ingredients, a drawing requires tools an some virtues. In this week drawing, I'll use a

  • Ball point pen
  • A plain A4 paper folded in two,
  • A full dose of patience
  • Sprinkles of creativity
  • and since it's a pen drawing, you need tons of Confidence.
Steps taken.
  • Well every great drawing begins with a single stroke and I took mine. I began with drawing the steemit logo and then the outline of the frog beginning from its massive head and eyes down to its slim backside and hind legs. I had to keep it light (can't blame me sha, Using ball point pen can be tricky).

The Outlines

IMG_20240807_192156.jpegIMG_20240807_192727.jpeg
  • Up next was shading this is to bring the outline to light and give form to the frog. This part took me hours here's where you need that shot of patience. I got tired at some point and if you look carefully you'll notice that towards the floor, the shading got a bit rough. Hopefully it isn't too bad.

Shading

  • And after shading Mr. Frog came into limelight, and then I added the finishing touches which includes drawing the steem4nigeria logo and adding a faint background which comprises of slight water ripples, weeds and a tree. Which is the frogs habitat.

Unique feature of the frog and how well they aid the ecosystem

Now what's so special about the frog and how well do they said the ecosystem?

What's special about frogs?
  • This unique creatures called frogs lives on land and in the water, it's amazing to note that their body temperature is in sync with the environment they find themselves. Amazing adaptability I would say.

  • Catching frogs is no easy task thanks to their moist slippery skin. This their skin helps them breathe and absorb water. Incredible right?

  • And how then do they swim in water without fins? That secret lies in their feet which has tiny webs which serve as a paddles when they're in water.

  • Now one little one - did you know; baby frogs are called tadpoles.

And of what use do this creature serve you and the ecosystem?

  • Trust me they help control insects by eating them at least that saves us some insecticide. 😁

  • Well, the world works in a cyclic manner, and this frogs play their role by being food, helping stave the hunger of some bigger birds and other predators in our ecosystem, well that includes man 😔.

  • Though this might sound awkward, but their waste product is actually very nutrient rich. Can you get them for my veggies please?

Conclusion

All in all, frogs are frogs and they are special and deserve a place on earth. Preserve one if you can and mother earth would be proud of you 🤣🤣.

Kudos.
And thanks for reading, I love y'all
