Hi Everyone....
It's a pleasure writing, here is a touchdown on my neighbourhood...

Screech!!!!.......came the sound as the driver of the Mercedes Benz hit the brakes while swerving to avoid hitting my neighbor. Luckily a gory seen was prevented with just a few scratch to the vehicle and the loss of a phone.

I was prepared to leave for school after performing my usual morning rituals of praying, cleaning the environment and running a few chores. The weather was quite cloudy (it's going to be a long day...i muttered). Due to the sudden hike in fuel price I had to trek a little out of my community to find a tricycle. Well, I live in the suburb of Uyo, the capital city of my state, a peaceful but quite busy state. Few kilometres from my house leads you to a tarred road and eventually a market.

While walking carefully along the side of the well tarred road, I noticed my neighbor (Bro. Dave) a Bachelor who works at the bank, fully dressed with his laptop bag and shiny covershoes which would reflect even the tiniest bit of light also trekking (ohh Naija, even banker dey trek.... I mused), he was quite ahead of me and I called him twice but he wasn't responding, that's when I noticed his two ears where shuffed with ear pods. Well I didn't bother anymore.

Then I saw him trying to cross the street, which was linked to a bending just before you approach the market. He probably went to buy the popular Nigeria sandwich which was made of Bread and Akara(bean cakes), a very sumptuous choice for breakfast, especially if one hasn't prepared a meal for breakfast.

However, the big problem here was that he wasn't concentrating on the road, rather all his attention was fixed on his phone which he fingered with all his heart and soul, he was even smiling (A lady must have chatted him up, lolz...😂). Then came a car driving at minimum speed (which was quite unusual, considering the smooth road), and my neighbor was crossing, while the car was approaching, I think I heard myself shout "Jesus..." as I closed my eyes and covered my ears, while my heart. Missed a bit, at this moment I felt useless and unable to save him as all this happened within a twinkle of an eye.

Well, am grateful to God, the car stopped just in time, while my neighbor, probably out of fear let his phone slip to the tarred road, and that was it for him. He probably would spend a lot to get it fixed as the screen was damaged from the impact. I finally board a tricycle, and found my way to school.

The rest of the day was uneventful with just light rain showers at some places. How is your neighborhood @vudem123, @usoro01 and @basil20. Till then, Thanks for reading my post...
Love y'all
Adiós

Thanks for the positive review..am grateful

Thanks for sharing such an incredible content,
I love your post and it looks well organized

What a touching experience, thank God your neighbor didn't get involved in an accident, is better the phone got a little damage than for your neighbor to get damage.

I wish you good luck in this contest.

Thank you for participating...
