Morning Activities
Actually, Saturday was a very long day spent with my family at the funeral of my Uncle's Mother In-law.
This was me after dressing up at the shop
My kids also dressed up too
We arrived the venue for the funeral successfully. Everywhere was well arranged and people already seated waiting for the church in charge to start the funeral service.
The brass band where already waiting so the cam match in the bereaved family.
This was stand for praise team and band.
Here was where the bereaved family was seated
The white decorations over there was where the casket was kept.
My kids where busy looking at all the decorations and the brass band people.
We were given a place to sit. Few minutes after our arrival, the funeral service started.
Afternoon Activities
Her Royal Majesty, The Queen Mother, Nne Nkem (My Mother) was also present at the funeral.
Different groups both political and non political groups also came. These were the Village Women's Association.
The kind of songs sang by these group of women, even if your waist was stiff for many years, upon hearing their songs and drums with konga, Chai! You must dance. @uyaiuyo was not an exception of the above explanations. I danced and danced and
danced. (Ikot ofon village in Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, una do this one).
The woman was successfully buried and item six (entertainment) took place.
Evening Activities
After the entertainment, we entered our bus and zoomed we got to our home town safely. Thank God for Journey Mercies.
We got to the shop, changed up and relaxed while waiting for my husband to come and pick us home.
This was my Mum after changing her dress and rocking her princess's sun shade.... It sure looked good on her.
We finally got home, freshened up, bathed the kids and served my hubby dinner. This Was How I spent My Saturday.
