"The Joy of Celebrating Labour Day"

Hello steemit friends, I'm @wasa2020 from Nigeria. I'm so happy today to share my entry in the contest of this community organized by @josepha. The topic says the joy of celebrating labor day.

Here in Nigeria, the labor day is always the 1st of May. Before I will go on to answer the questions, let me first invite @vickyson, @dave-hanny, @yakspeace, and @cephasmbah to also join the contest today.

Why do workers celebrate their day?

Just like birthdays are celebrated by everyone, in the same way, workers also celebrate their day. Workers Day is a day set aside to remind workers about their duty or responsibilities. Workers celebrate this day to Mark their official recognition by the government.

They do this every 1st of May. Nigeria just celebrated their worker's day recently. The celebration is not done everywhere though but only in particular or strategic areas.

To your understanding, what is the meaning of Workers' Day?

In my understanding, workers' Day is a day set aside to celebrate workers in any part of the world. They celebrate this to keep in memory all their achievement and success as well as failure. So worker's Day is like the birthday of the worker since it is the official day they are made recognized by the government.

So worker's day is a day set aside which is work free to appreciate the effort of all those who have contributed to the growth of the country and their communities.

Do you think we Steemians should have a special day aside to celebrate? If yes, tell us the best day and how the celebration should be done.

Yes, steemit should also have a special day of celebration. I understand that steemit started in 2016, which means that is the birthday of the platform.

I suggest that a celebration be organized by the steemit team on every birthday of the platform so that steemians all over the world can come together to celebrate with their selves.

Imagine calling a gathering where the platform will allow 3-5 persons from different countries to participate, paying for their flight tickets once every 5 years. I guess it will be a memorable event. If it can't be held yearly then we should make it after every 5 years.

What should we do on Workers' Day?

Workers' Day should be a day of celebration involving eating, drinking, sharing gifts, and also advancing one another. With this, unity will be promoted among workers as they will see themselves as families.

We should also try and support them with our gifts and words of encouragement because it is not easy to work at all. With this worker's day celebrations will continue to be amazing every time.
