Hello friends it ia pleasure to post in this community once again, and today i want to talk about diseases especially water borne diseases. Water borne diseseas have trubled humans because water is our source of life and we need water to survive as humans.

Water borne diseases?

Water borne diseases are disease that are caused mainly by drinking contaminated or poisoined water. These diseases are caused by many usually activities that we humans do. Some of them are
a) Excreting or urinating in rivers
b) Using industrial oil to catch fish
c) Fishes faeces
So these are all the things that cause water borne diseases, and we are also part of the people that cause water diseases.

Below are some of all those diseases that are gotten from drinking contaminated or poisoined water:

  1. Dysentry
  2. Typhoid
  3. Dengue fever
  4. Cholera
  5. Guinea worm
  6. Diarrhoea
  7. Shigellosis

As there are diseases there are still ways to prevent those diseseas. They can be prevented through the following ways;

  1. There should be a provision of pure drinking water
  2. There should also be a provision of a place to dispose waste materials
  3. We should disinfect water to kill pathogens that may be in our supplied water.

So we have seen how the diseases can be prevented, lets were we can find sources of clean water;
There are two major sources of water

  1. Surface water: This type of water s found in common rivers we see around us
  2. Ground water: It lies under the face of the earth, where it goes through and completes openings in the rock.

Now we have seen the sources of clean water, lets see the methods we use to treat water;

What is water treatment?

This is the removal of pathogens from a water that is not treated to produce a water good for drinking, and is pure e ough forthe kost critical of its uses.

Below are water treatment processes;

  1. pre-chlorination: For algae control and other pathogens
  2. Aeration: For removal of disolved iron and magnese
  3. Caugulation:Chemicals are added to water to cause the joining together of hanging materials like dust.
  4. Flocculation: Chemicals are added and gently stirred or mixed to ,ake particles increase in size for easy filtration of water
  5. Sedimentation: For the removal of hanging solids in the water
  6. Filtration: Removing materials from water
  7. Disinfection: for killing bacteria

So this is all that i can talk about on water borne diseases, i am sorry for the last post that was plagiarized it won't happen again. See you all next time, thank you
