Introduction about contest post and about my self :
This is @yourloveguru from India. I am very active in this community because @simonnwigwe launch unique contest always .
In this contest, basically we need share bonding between shop keeper and customer and discuss that is it right to say that Customer is always right ?
So let's begin this article . Contest Link is here
1. What do you understand by the phrase customers are always right?
The phrase "customers are always right" is a common customer service motto that suggests that customers should be treated with respect and that their opinions and preferences are of the utmost importance.
It suggests that businesses should strive to meet the needs and expectations of their customers, even if it means going above and beyond what is typically expected.
The idea behind this phrase is that happy customers are more likely to return and do business with a company again in the future.
However, it's important to note that while the customer's perspective should always be considered, the phrase "customers are always right" should not be taken literally.
In some cases, customers may have unrealistic expectations or make unreasonable demands, and in these situations, it may be necessary for businesses to find a compromise or set appropriate boundaries in order to maintain the integrity of their products or services.
2. As a customer, have you ever seen yourself in a situation where you were treated specially because of the above phrase? Please tell us about it
Ofcourse Many times I have experienced this treatment. I remember when I went to buy a new Saree for my wife . Shopkeeper were demonstrating many sarees but I was not being satisfied so they brought a cold drink for me and said to me that sir, Don't worry I will show you some unique fashion which is different from regular sarees.
Then They have shown me ready to wear saree which was beautiful but this was completely different so I asked her for video calling . Video calling was not allowed there but they treated me special and changed their policy and allowed me for video call and then I had selected one beautiful saree for my wife.

3.As the one offering the service, have you ever been in a situation where you have to treat customers exceptionally because of the above phrase? Please tell us about it.
Well I think this is same question of second one. I already explained the situation where I have been treated exceptionally . Let me give you one example more:
I and my wife went for shopping and we were buying some salwar suites for my wife . I had selected 4 salwar suits . All clothe shopkeepers provide normal alteration along with purchase. But My wife likes only round neck suits ...and there was suit which was square neck shape among 4 pcs. It was very tough and hectic to fix it and made it round neck with free alterations but shopkeeper provided me this service .. this is really exceptional service
4. Do you think that the phrase customers are always right is the right phrase to use? Give reasons why or why not.
No, Now a days this is not right . Customer is king, Customer is always right does not exists. Actually I am also a shop keeper and I see now a days customers are very clever and they try to cheat shop keeper and they want all services but they don't want to let us earn from them .
I sold a hear blower which is made by plastic body and it is clear mentioned that there is no warranty of any body damaged . Only motor comes under warranty. I told them not to cover body with any clothes otherwise body will be melt but after few days they came and claimed that body is damaged, they wanted to return product and they said that they did not use wrong way, they did not cover this body . But when electricity engineer came and opened the product wo he caught their mistake and then they said sorry . So customer is always right is not right sentence in current time.
I would like to invite my few friends in this contest ::
