It is the smile in your eyes,
The butterflies that you get,
The excitement in your voice,
The skip in your step.
It is stronger than diamond,
And lighter than a feather,
It's a huge shining beacon,
And it will stay with you forever.
Sometimes it's hidden,
Sometimes it's lost,
But they are just illusions,
Happiness is never gone.
It's comfort when you're down,
And kindness when you're sad.
It's helpful when you're stuck,
And gentle when things are bad.
Now promise me one thing,
It's not that much to ask,
Hold onto your happiest moments,
And in you they'll always last.
