Greetings friends of Steemit.

A short walk through the most representative street of the city of Lima, capital of Peru.

Peru, today a South American country with one of the most important cultural histories in the Americas.

In a few short blocks of this pedestrian passageway, its long history is summed up, from the mythical Incas, passing later to cazonas of the colony after the conquest of the Incas; with those impressive balconies that show Hispanic opulence in Andean lands.

From Incas in search of their lost empire, to churches and colonial palaces, mansions from republican times, monuments of great personalities and leaders who shaped this country, for better or for worse. Present and past converge in this historical space living proof of the tragic history of this beautiful and contradictory country.
