Quick Bites Recipe: Deep Fried Tempeh with Spicy Sauce

If you want to eat fried snack, fried tempeh can be a good snack for you.

In Indonesia, tempeh fried in flour is quite popular and can even be eaten with rice.

I will share the recipe and cooking instructions for you.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams tempeh, thinly sliced
  • 50 grams of tapioca flour
  • 4 tablespoons of rice flour
  • 4 tablespoons of all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 clove of garlic, puree
  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander, puree
  • Enough water
  • Enough cooking oil

How to make

  • Mix all purpose flour, rice flour and tapioca into one.
  • Enter the spice that has been crushed namely salt, garlic, coriander.
  • Add water little by little while continuing to stir until it forms a thin flour mixture.

  • Soak the tempeh in the flour mixture for a few minutes.

  • Then fry on medium heat until golden yellow.



  • Fried tempeh is ready to be served with sauce.

Here I use soy sauce mixed with slices of red onion, garlic, and chili.
