Modern Day Action.

The movie on its first part pleasantly surprises me with its brand of action (too brutal to some). I have seen or feel this type of in your face violence in an action film with Liam Neeson's movie "Taken". Then the close-range gun shooting clash is typical that of a Keanu Reeves's "John Wick" movie. I see a rising trend of having these kinds of scenes in action films today. Because it keeps people glued to their seats driven to the fast-paced surge of excitement and emotions all heading on to the development of the story.

What I also like about the film is how it also provided heart and soul main character. An anti-type hero who seems so brave and unnerving but has some deep hurt inside. An emotional part of a soldier struggling to put meaning to his existence. Outside, he's tough but inside very vulnerable due to the death of his son.

Extraction The Movie.

Tyler Rake, played by Chris Hemsworth is a black-market mercenary and former SASR operator. He was hired to rescue a boy, who though a son of Mumbai's drug lord is just a typical timid teenager. The boy was kidnapped by a rival Dhaka's drug lord.

Complexities further ensued as Tyler Rake's team was doubled cross to avoid payment by the boy's protector and handler. The story spiraled with their struggles and survival in the streets of India. But the growing emotional bond Tyler Rake and the boy prompted him to sacrifice and even endanger his own life just to ensure the boy's safety. I will not give more details on the story as I would like to encourage you to watch it yourself. And you too will be pleasantly surprise by the action sequences. You'll never regret it. A must-watch movie today.

A Box Office Hit.

It's so good, it becomes the most-watched original movie by Netflix. Netflix revealed the film had in-fact been watched by 99 million households in its first four weeks of release, the biggest premiere in Netflix's history. There are plenty of good reasons why it is so. Relax, enjoy, and watch the movie.

Sort Order:

I liked this movie. The storyline was not so new but I liked the execution and scenes shot in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I liked the character of Nik, especially the sniper scene in which she kills the colonel.

The other character Saju is a famous Bollywood (India) actor. I liked his acting as well. He did lot of hard work to achieve the required fitness for this movie.

Yes... I agree it's the execution that spells the excellence of the movie. I heard that they are already working on the sequel.

Waoo. That's good news. we will watch sequel too.
