Some family problems took me to a village in northern Transylvania. A commemoration. A meeting of relatives 40 days after a cousin of my wife was buried. Beyond the sadness of the moment and such meetings, I had the surprise of a time travel.
I visited my wife's childhood village a few times and always on the run. Just a few hours. I didn't understand and saw almost nothing every time.
This time I had the necessary time for a careful viewing and discovery. I was amazed to discover an almost deserted village, with abandoned houses and uninhabited.
Isolation on top of hills, abandoning traditional occupations forced young people to move to the city. Only the old people remained in the village but they no longer have the power to renovate and repair their houses...
There is no future for them. Only this one!
At least they will rest among the flowers, in the middle of a miraculous nature.
It was a trip full of nostalgia, especially for my wife. She cried a lot! Nature, hills and forests occupy almost everything and almost nothing remembers that there was a place full of life and hope for many people.
The idea of using monochrome and sepia belongs to @old-guy-photos and turned into a challenge recommended by @dswigle. Because these colleagues of ours are creators who have influenced me a lot, it is mandatory for me to participate as often as I can in the challenges they promote.
