Let me tell you some facts about Lion-Tailed Macaque:
Lion-Tailed Macaque is 20–24 inches long, with a tail of 10–15 inches. Females are smaller than males.
Lion-Tailed Macaque has dark brown hair all over the body. They are called 'Lion-tailed Macaque' because they have long hair like a lion's around the face and a bunch of long hair at the tail end.
Lion-Tailed Macaque is found in the west from the northern part of Karnataka to Kerala and Kanyakumari, in India. They live in groups of 12–20 in dense forests. Their voice resembles les the sound of man's cough.
Lion-Tailed Macaque has become rare due to the destruction of dense forests and poaching.
In order to summon their estranged partner, they echo like a dove in a heavy voice. To get from one place to another, they go down from the trees and walk on the ground.
Their newborn babies are seen sticking to their mother's abdomen.
