After a week of practice, it was time for a ski race! All the beginner groups of skiers and snowboarders got a chance to test out their skills.

This is the view from the top of the run to the restaurant below.

This final fast straight dash is called a "schuss".

Our race day ended up being rather more intense than expected when it started snowing heavily.

Undeterred, we kept trying for better runs. You can see me on the left, ever the cameraman.

I'm really glad I chose to learn skiing, but snowboarding looks super fun as well.

The race ended with a snowball fight, another first for me!
