This past week I have seen, and although I avoid reading news or checking common social networks, a series of atrocious events that continue to happen in the United States today, events that have occurred due to the death of an African-American man, who was killed by a group of police officers last May 25th, I think this has become a worldwide trend so I will not go into detail about that event because being honest I have not been able to even see the full video, which is circulating on social networks, is something that simply breaks my heart, the way it is a human being, and let's say I'm a little sensitive. Whatever the reasons for his arrest, if he was not a violent person, he should not have been treated as such.
I live in a country where mistreatment by "law enforcement officers" is our daily bread, I have even witnessed some of them and they are really brutal, I think that the studies they may have had before obtaining a position of this level, are not the most appropriate, and unfortunately here they celebrate such acts. This is not the case in the United States, and I agree with this to some extent, because I do not accept under any circumstances the use of brute force on people who simply do not deserve it, because we must also bear in mind that there are cases where this is the only way to dominate a criminal.
However, what I want to talk to you about on this occasion is not the case itself of violence on the part of a public official, who is well known, who is at the service of the citizens, what really makes me immensely sad, is to see how groups of demonstrators have given themselves the task of wiping out entire towns and cities, shopping centers, cars, public and cultural monuments, being motivated by these supposed protests which are already sinning in vandalism. Because while it is true that we should have the right to protest, it is also true that the protest in this case should be against the state security agencies that allow these types of officials to continue working in their institutions. I do not see at any time the need to loot and destroy shopping malls, clothing and shoe stores, and even food stores when the protest is not against these places.
The only thing these people are doing is justifying the violent actions of the officers, because to tell you the truth when I see people coming out of a shoe store carrying boxes and boxes of new shoes without paying a penny, I wonder, is it for lack of shoes the protest? Or is it because of the death of an innocent man at the hands of officers who did not know how to control their impulses, because, and forgive me for what I am about to say, but this makes them look even like those policemen, do these people have any idea how much pain and tears the owners of these establishments must be shedding? While it is true that many of these establishments are insured and that some of these insurances probably cover these damages, however, most do not, so who are they hurting? Who are these protests really against?
I live in a country destroyed by constant protests, where I have known people who have lost everything because of them and uncontrolled looting, where I have known cases of people who after losing everything in the hands of these protesters have decided to take their lives because they cannot bear to see everything they have worked for lost, I know what a destroyed country is and how sad it feels, I wish these people who today end up with such a big country thinking that the owner of a store will have a way to replace what is stolen from them, had the ability to see what it is like to live without anything that they could enjoy freely until a week ago.

Esta última semana he visto, y aunque evito leer noticias o revisar redes sociales comunes, una serie de eventos atroces que aun hoy continúan sucediendo en Estados Unidos, eventos que se han dado debido a la muerte de un hombre Afroamericano, que fue asesinado por un grupo de policías el pasado 25 de mayo, creo que esto se ha convertido en tendencia a nivel mundial por lo que no entrare en detalles acerca de ese suceso, pues siendo sincera no he sido capaz siquiera de ver el video completo, que circula por las redes sociales, es algo que simplemente me parte el corazón, de la manera que sea es un ser humano, y digamos que soy un poco sensible. Sea las razones que hayan inducido a su detención, si no era una persona violenta, no debió haber sido tratado como tal.

Sin embargo de lo que quiero hablarles en esta oportunidad no es el caso en sí de la violencia por parte de un funcionario público, que bien es sabido, que está al servicio de los ciudadanos, lo que realmente me da una tristeza inmensa, es ver como grupos de manifestantes se han dado a la tarea de acabar con pueblos y ciudades enteras, centros comerciales, automóviles, monumentos públicos y culturales, siendo motivados por estas supuestas protestas que ya pecan en vandalismo. Porque si bien es cierto que debemos tener el derecho a la protesta, también es cierto que la protesta en este caso debería ser contra los organismos de seguridad del estado que permiten que este tipo de funcionarios aun continúen laborando en sus instituciones. No veo en ningún momento la necesidad de saquear y destruir centros comerciales, tiendas de ropa y calzado e incluso de comida, cuando la protesta no es en contra de estos sitios.
Lo único que están haciendo estas personas es justificando las acciones violentas de los oficiales, pues a decir verdad cuando veo personas saliendo de una tienda de zapatos cargando con cajas y cajas de zapatos nuevos sin pagar un centavo, me pregunto, ¿Es por falta de calzado la protesta? o es por la muerte de un inocente a manos de oficiales que no supieron controlar sus impulsos, porque, y me perdonan por lo que voy a decir, pero esto hace que se vean incluso igual que esos policías, ¿Tendrán idea estas personas de cuento tienen que trabajar nuevamente los dueños de estos negocios? ¿Tendrán idea estos maleantes del dolor causado y las lágrimas que deben estar derramando los dueños de estos establecimientos? Si bien es cierto que muchos de estos locales están asegurados y que probablemente algunos de estos seguros cubran esos daños, sin embargo, la mayoría no lo hace, entonces ¿A quién están haciéndoles el daño? ¿Contra quién son realmente estas protestas?
Vivo en un país destruido por las protestas constantes, donde he conocido a personas que lo han perdido todo por culpa de las mismas y de saqueos descontrolados, donde he conocido casos de personas que luego de perderlo todo en manos de estos manifestantes han decidido quitarse la vida por no aguantar ver perdido todo por lo que han trabajado, se lo que es un país destruido y lo triste que se siente, ojala estas personas que hoy acaban con un país tan grande pensando en que el dueño de una tienda tendrá como reponer lo que les roban, tuvieran la capacidad de ver lo que es vivir sin nada de lo que hasta hace una semana podían disfrutar libremente.
