Oranges have been my favorite fruit and my siblings know that the only thing they should not trust with me are oranges and vegetables because I will finish them before they get back into the house. I was posted to a remote village for my compulsory NYSC program and my student at that time spoilt me with lots of oranges, my love for oranges has not declined a bit and so for orange lovers like myself and for those who might also not know the importance of this fruit. I am going to explore all we need to know about this fruit to a reasonable extent and from there, we will get to know if we have been abusing the intake of this amazing fruit or if we have been taking it deficiently.

Oranges contain a significant amount of fiber which makes the body feels fuller and gives less room for the consumption of junk and unhealthy foods. This way, there is less chance for obesity and overweight.

The consumption of low sodium in the body helps a lot in the process of lowering blood pressure. Oranges do not contain sodium in any way, therefore it contributes to the lowering of blood pressure in the body as well as contributes greatly to the opening of blood vessels and help the body relaxes properly.

• Make orange juice by squeezing out the juice from fresh oranges.

Risks to consuming oranges.
There was a time I started thinking the oranges I consumed could have some side effects, so I went ahead to make research on what could be the possible side effects of consuming oranges.
• Consuming too many oranges could result in an upset stomach and nausea.
• Oranges contains Vitamin C, consuming oranges in huge amount will lead to heartburn, heart attack, vomiting.
