These girls!
After the sun set and the day of rest was past, we decided to hit the lake for a quick fishing trip. I had some live bait left that I caught earlier in the week, and we were optimistic. I wanted to try cooking some Gar Scampi tomorrow for dinner, which meant needed some gar. In an amazing back to back series of fights both Sweet-Pepper and Pinkie-Pepper caught and landed some impressive gar. I think it was the first gar Sweet-Pepper had ever caught, and the third one Pinkie-Pepper had caught. They are cleaned now and chilling in the fridge, awaiting my cooking experiment tomorrow. We'll see what happens. Enjoy the photos!
