Starry Night ...

Do you like to watch Stars?

When I was a child I used to count stars, my innocent mind always thought that one day I will finish counting all the stars of the sky. I never knew sky is limitless, when I was a kid I used to think I am too small to reach and touch the sky but one day I will be able to touch the sky when I will be big like my dad. I used to count blinking stars also and always thought why they suddenly vanished.

I still count the stars knowing that the stars are countless. If I tell people that I still count stars they will laugh at me or will think I have so much free time to do silly works. I am a skywatcher and I love watching the sky, I think I have mentioned it before. I live on the 7th floor so it's pretty much easy to watch the sky through my window.

I don't know whether you guys love to explore the history of the galaxy but sometimes I love to know about it... The entire Galaxy is fascinating, stars, the sun, moon, milky ways, black holes, so many elements, in fact, humans don't have any idea about the galaxy. When I was 10 years old, I used to think aliens live on Galaxy, maybe they do but still, we don't know.

Yesterday the sky was clear and full of stars. I was able to watch the starry sky through my window and as usual, tried to count. People say, when people die, they become stars. My dad once told me, whenever you will see the big star consider it to me when I will be not here with you...

My dad is with me but my mom is not with me, she left the world. Perhaps she became the biggest star of the galaxy and sometimes comes here to watch me from the sky and left quietly...

Delusional thoughts right... I don't mind being delusional sometimes...

The Starry Night :

Do you recognize this painting? A famous painting by Vincent van Gogh, Dutch Post-Impressionist painter. I love this oil painting and I have read about this painting when I was a third-year student of Architecture. Van Gogh was an impressionist painter who used to take inspiration from nature. Most of his paintings were abstract but inspired by nature. This painting he created when he was at the asylum. From the asylum window, he visualizes this entire scenario and created this abstract oil painting. The small village, fort, mountains, sky, the moon, and the stars. He referred to this painting as a failure painting though.

"A starry sky is something I should like to try to do, just as in the daytime I am going to try to paint a green meadow spangled with dandelions."

Later he created many paintings of the starry night later but this one was unique and still unique. Because this one is the first oil painting created by him, his initial work where he first visualizes how starry night looks like through his window...

Whatever he saw he drew, maybe according to him stars are big, visible but they are still stars. Stars seem like dots, sometimes blinking dots because of their character. Concept build from what we see, our way of expressing our vision can be abstract, but we need inspiration.

Just like whenever I see The Starry Sky, I always think about The Starry Night...
