My Own Milky Squash Maja Blanca ๐Ÿ˜‹ (Maja Blanca Is One Of The Popular Filipino Food Dessert Or Snack)

Hope all are safe and well!

Have you tried cooking maja blanca? How about milky squash maja blanca?

I don't know if someone tried cooking it.

Well, I tried cooking a milky squash maja blanca and it's a success. It's delicious and tasty. Maja blanca is one of the popular Filipino food dessert or snacks.

I paired with hot coffee the milky squash maja blanca I made. It's a perfect combination for breakfast.

I gonna share it here how I did my simple cooking.

Actually, it is my first time cooking a milky squash maja blanca. When my brother harvested squash in his garden, I was thinking how to cook those harvested squash. This time, I think of cooking maja blanca with added squash.

Because, I bought some groceries the other week with some ingredients needed in cooking maja blanca.

Let's start the preparation!

Ingredients:

  • Squash
  • Evap milk
  • Kremdensada milk
  • Condensed milk (not included in the picture)
  • All purpose flour
  • Vanilla

Procedures:

  • Wash the whole squash. Slice, take away the seeds and peel. Then, slice into cubes.

  • After I slice the squash, I boiled it in a rice cooker until cooked or soften.

  • When cooked, remove from the pot and let it cool.

  • When it cools down, I mashed the squash using spoon

  • Because the texture of the squash is not fine. I decided to mix and blend together all the ingredients such as: 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, one can evap milk, one can kremdensada milk, one can condensed milk, one tablespoon vanilla and the mashed squash. I wasn't able to take some pictures coz it's messy holding a phone while preparing the mixture.

  • When done mixing them using a blender, the texture becomes fine and is ready for cooking.

  • After I prepared the mixture, I went to my brother's place to cook it using fire woods. I just poured the mixture in a pot with a medium fire.

It is difficult to adjust the firewoods to a medium fire. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  • Continuously stir the mixture until solidify, becomes sticky and cooked.

  • When cooked, remove from fire and transfer to a food container.

I got two food containers, one for my brother and his family while the other one is for me.

I cooked it last night, and have it as my breakfast in the morning. I like it much! I gonna make this kind of naja blanca again. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹

Note: Coconut milk, sugar, margarine and food coloring are usually used in cooking maja blanca. But, I prepared to use canned milk and condensed as a replacement. There is no need to use food coloring coz of the natural color of squash. So far, it tasted really good! ๐Ÿ˜€
