Hello creative community,
Drawing number 03 is done for the Picnic Time series of this 5 Days Of Drawing Challenge. Usually the third drawing gives me that feeling of fulfilment as I am already halfway through the challenge. Thanks for your support this keeps me motivated. This cute picture of a mouse is my favourite so far. Look how adorable he is with that outfit and that blanket that he carries on his back. A picnic would not be complete without this blanket. I could have put on the popular check patterns but I guess that is too much already.
These are some of the work in progress photos:
On this rough sketch the mouse is holding some books on his left hand. Books are perfect to have if you are outside for a long time. I had to edit them out simply because I couldn't make the hand that's holding them work. It was really hard for me.
I like the collar to be ribbed like in the first draft but I thought that a chunky one would be enough because I plan to add some patterns on the pants later. Too many patterns may not work on this tiny character.
I think I like my color choices here, they're not muted like the previous characters but I think they look just fine but I had to change the deep orange color of the sweater into something lighter. This works well with the dark violet color of the mouse.
The pants now has stripes just a simple pattern to tie it all together. This shade of yellow brings life and fun to this young mouse.
This would not be complete without the highlight and shadow. Help give it more depth and interest. Hope you like it.
Practice helps us get better each time we try. That is the aim of
