Hi friends. I am Faith Okoro from Abia State Nigeria, just as you know. I reside in Lagos. I know you might have heard about Lagos Nigeria and it's traffic congestion. I could remember in my achievement 1 post, i made mention of Lagos and it's stress and traffic congestion. Basically today, i am going to give you a piece of an ice berg of Lagos traffic congestion, based on my experience on Friday 17th July, 2020.

I had scheduled to have a business meeting with a business partner on Friday. I left my house at around past 10am (Nigerian time). I got to the bus stop to board a bus. What i saw, so much baffled me.

First i met this crowd waiting for buses at the bus stop.

This is another section of the crowd. It was horrible, at first sight. Each bus that stops by, every one going to that destination will rush the bus and start dragging.

In the picture above, all these guys were dragging to enter this small bus. The bus was meant to carry 5 people only, but this time around there was no social distance.
I couldn't drag nor rush for any bus, besides i don't even have the strength. So i was busy feeding my eyes with the whole dram and taking some shuts.
At a point, i was tired of standing, i just said God please i really need to get out of this place. Right at my position, a private car came along and gave me a free ride.

This is me while in the car, because i was so happy, i can't imagine myself running from one point to the other and dragging for buses. It is a no no for me.
While in the car, i took some shuts of the traffic congestions.

Everywhere was so choked, it was really horrible. No one could identify the cause of the traffic congestion.

A journey of 3 hours was prolonged to the whole day, as i returned home finally at around 6pm (Nigerian time).
Like i said before, this is just a piece of an ice berg compared to the main the kind of traffic people encounter everyday as they go to work. Most civil servants leaves the house by 5am (Nigeria time) to beat the traffic and meet up with office opening time of 8am. Most persons return from work as late as 11pm and 12am due to traffic congestions. It is never a funny experience. Once you are set to go anywhere very far from home, be prepared for such. Except in the afternoon, some roads seems to have cleared. This is the basic negative experience we experience in Lagos, due to over population.
