Hello Everyone!
Finally, I have completed the Chess pieces' 3d designs. I'm down to one last piece, the king. It's the most important piece of the game, it will be the determinant of who's gonna win in a match. It is also considered as the weakest piece of the game especially on the later phase of every match.
Though the king moves at different direction like the queen, it can only move a single block per player's action. You can never capture this piece on a single move, you'll have to corner it first until there's no way it can escape or move to other blocks. This action is called check - threatening the king to capture. If the king can't escape the threat, he's in checkmate status and will lose the match.
Process:
It's the same process I made for the queen's design. I separated it into 3 parts. I made the body first then work with the crown after.
In creating the crown, I made the topmost figure which is the cross. I then create an offset shape of the head that will define the crown's hollowness and lastly a rectangular shape that will create the crown's design.
The hollow head. It's not showing because it's in realistic view but it's hollow on the inside.
A wedge type solid that will be arrayed and subtracted to the crown.
This is the finished output of the head. After that, I added the cross figure.
The final design with some golden lights around.
