The Zwiebelrostbraten is a since 1945 a typical traditional meal for speziell events or to enjoy with friends and family.

The big difference between a traditional beefsteak and the Zwiebelrostbraten is that the steak i made in the pa not on the BBQ, and it get wserved with coverd with super yummy soft slow cooked onions.

How to cook the onions perfect : slow heat, a lot of butter, frie the onions 20 minutes in the in the same pan than the steak you make the steak later. LOW HEAT!!!

When the onions look like the picture take them away from the heat, and make youe steak: 4-5 minutes each side on full heat with cooking oil, then wrap it in aluminum foil with the onions on top and put it for 5 minures in the oven at 180 degrees CELSIUS, so the steak gets tender and take the taste of your onions.

Serf it with the French fries, roast potatoes or noodles.
