Today I would like to introduce a local dish in Ghana and precisely for the Akan tribes. This dish is know as Fufu.
Fufu or Fufuo as the local Ashanti's would call is the Eminent and chief dish across the shores of Ashanti. Now before you can brepare fufu you need two main stuff
cassava
cocoyam/plantain/yam
I used plantain
You peel both food stuffs washed and then put it on your set fire.
After some minutes of boiling you set off fire and get ready to pound it
You need your mortal and piestel,water and chair
One can choose to let the food cool down before pounding other can pound it hot.
Then what ever be the case the pounding must go on
The fufu is eating with different kinds of soup but for me I like abunuabunu in my local dialect. Abunuabunu is made from green leafs (kontomire) with tomatoes, crabs snails mushroom and mostly dry fishes flavoured with galbanum
After this stage consummation continues.
