HOW I PREPARED JI MMIRI OKU FOR MY FATHER

Hello everyone,this is my first post here. I'll be telling you how I prepared this Nigerian dish "ji mmiri oku" for my father. This local dish is served to women who just put to bed because it cleanses the stomach,my dad is sick and has been restricted from eating so many things but this is one food he is permitted to eat. This dish is very easy to prepare.

INGREDIENTS

1.Water yam

2.crayfish

6.uziza seed

7.dried fish(onyeuwa huru Anya)

8.stock fish

PROCEDURE
1.Peel,cut and wash your yam. Then put it in the pot

2.Rinse your stockfish and cook for 10minutes

3.Add your blended crayfish,pepper,chopped onions,blended uziza seed,your dried fish,the stockfish and ahirihia

  1. Add enough water

And let it boil till the yam is cooked,do not turn else it would become thick as porridge. If you please add uziza leaf but once you add it after 2 to 3 minutes bring down the food.
