I like very much fast food, but I am also trying to eat healthy so I have to find recipes that help me with both. It's very easy to make and super delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of potatoes;
- a drizzle of oil;
- salt;
- pepper;
- any other condiments you like.
First you peel the potatoes. You can also leave them with the skin on if you prefer, just wash them very well.
You cut them and leave them in a bowl with cold water for 30 min. This is an important step, because in this way you get rid of the excess starch and the fries will be more crunchy.
After those 30 min, put the potatoes on a towel and wipe them to remove excess water.
Put them in a bowl and put a drizzle of oil. You can use whatever oil you like. I used grapeseed oil.
Put the greased potatoes on a trail and put it in the oven for 40 min at 190 degrees Celsius. After 20 min you can turn them to have a more uniform color.
Note: You can leave them in the oven more or less depends on how crunchy do you like them.
For the seasoning I used only salt and pepper, but you can use oregano, basil, garlic, parmesan. etc.
This is how they look after 40 minutes.
They were delicious and are a great alternative to french fries!
