STEEMFOODS RECIPE | SAUTÉÉD MUNG BEAN SPROUTS WITH OTHER VEGGIES AND MEAT

Good day to all my fellow members here at @steemfoods community. I am optimistic that everybody is in good health and safe amidst these unprecedented times. Today, I am going to share with you what I have prepared for lunch. I hope you guys will be motivated to try this at home as this is undeniable delectable and nutritious. This recipe is the top on the list of my comfort foods and my most favourite among other recipes that my Mom regularly cooked at home. I must admit that there lot of different variations of this dish existed and all other variation tastes as good as everyone else but I prefer the version that I grew up eating.

More so, bean sprouts are cholesterol free and it contain a high source of fiber and it’s digestible as it has high enzymes content that helps in the digestive process.

To start with, I am going to itemize below the ingredients for your easy reference.



LIST OF INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams Pork, menudo cut
  • 400 grams Mung bean sprouts
  • 200 grams Cabbage, sliced into sml pieces
  • 200 grams Sweet Turnip, cut in cubes
  • 1 piece Carrot, julienne
  • 1 piece Sweet Potato, cut in cubes
  • 1 piece Red Bell Pepper, jullienne
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 med. size Onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. Salt
  • 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Oyster sauce
  • 3 grams Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Cooking oil
  • 2 cups Water

Preparing all the ingredients, cut it according to size requirement.

Here as you can see, everything is ready to start with the cooking process.


THE COOKING PROCESS



  • Heat oil in a wok or pan, add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds, then add chopped onion and continue to sauté until both the onion and garlic softens.

  • Add the pork meat, stir until lightly brown

  • put the soy sauce to add a salty taste to the meat. Stir for about 1 to 2 minutes. Mix well.

  • next goes the carrot, mix well.



  • next will be the sweet potato, followed by the sweet turnip. Mix well and cook for about 1 minute.



  • Add the Mung bean sprouts and the cabbage and mix well.

  • Season with salt, ground black pepper and oyster sauce to achieve a delightful taste.

  • Add the red bell pepper, mix well to combine and distribute all the ingredients.

  • Finally, add 2 cups of water.
    Cook and stir over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes or until it’s done as you like.

And it's done...

Serve immediately to enjoy the crunchy taste of the sprouts!
