It is a lazy day, raining outside makes it more lazy but beautiful! Sunday is happiness, and to enhance this happiness needs something special. On heavy demand of kids this happiness came in the form of Pizza, yes vegan, homemade, oven fresh hot Pizza!!!! Pizza is special to us because it is very occasional food for us. We all love Pizza, but only a few times a year, not even every month, and never bought from outside!
To make Pizza, I had to buy all ingredients freshly. Usually I make mushroom loaded or tofu loaded pizza, but yesterday it was mushroom and tofu loaded, vegetable pizza. Even I prepared its base myself.
Just have a look on my Pizza, and it's making!
Pizz..zza !!
Ingredients
- Tofu
- Mushroom
- Pizza sauce (market bought)
- All purpose flour and whole wheat flour
- Yeast
- Vegetables of your choice. I used capsicum, onion and tomato.
- Garlic cloves and green chillies.
- Oregano
- Olive oil
- Baking powder
- Salt to taste
Main ingredients
First I kneaded a soft dough using all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour (3:1 ratio), activated yeast, chopped garlic, oregano, salt, olive oil, baking powder and enough water to knead a soft dough.
Covered with damp cloth, and kept aside for about an hour.
It is loaded with all vegan ingredients
Meantime, I chopped all vegetables and tofu in small pieces.
After an hour when dough was ready divided into four equal parts. Took one part and spread on a greased baking tray. Applied pizza sauce and loaded it with all vegetables, mushroom, and tofu. Sprinkled some oregano and olive oil. Now it is ready to bake.
Pizza is ready to bake
Baked in a 180 degree preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes.

Delicious and a dose of happiness..Our Vegan Pizza was ready to eat.
Of course, it was cheese free but was satisfying!
