SUNDAY BREAKFAST: Poha and Fruits

Why is Sunday different from all days? Because it allows us to get up without an alarm. Although I keep the alarm off on Sundays, but still wake up at the same time as on other days. I like Sundays because no one in the family is in a hurry to go anywhere, and the atmosphere at home is totally different. I can enjoy my morning tea and read the news with peace of mind.

On Sunday, we can prepare our breakfast as well as enjoy breakfast together with our family. It is a routine that I prepare breakfast on Sundays. Today I did not make anything special but have made a very common dish which is prepared in almost all the kitchens of India.

Today's breakfast was Poha (sautéd flattened rice) and seasonal fresh fruit. Both are easy to prepare, delicious and healthy.

Poha is very common to any Indian reading this post, but if you are from another country it might be more interesting for you to prepare and have it in the breakfast.

Poha is ready but without Sev

  • Now if you are in India you must add Sev before having it. But you can enjoy it without it if you are not in India, or it is not available to you.
