Ingredients
- 50g of oat
- 3 large fingers of plantain
- Sugar
- Milk as desired
- Vegetable oil
Procedure:
These are the three fingers of plantain i will be using. I love to fry my plantain first so it cools off before the oatmeal is ready.
Wash the plantain thorougly
Thereafter, peel and slice into pieces as seen
Steam the vegetable oil for about 2mins
Carefully put the plantain into the pan and arrange it very well.
Fry until it is golden-yellow in colour and your plantain is ready.
Now, let's make the oatmeal
Here is a picture of the oat i used. Quaker oats is my favourite brand.
I took out about 50g of oats and poured into a pot.
Pour about 50cl of water into the pot
Put the pot on fire and allow to cook for 5mins. Ensure to stir it continuously so it doesn't get all clumped up.
The oat meal is ready when it turn thick and light brown
Dish in plate and add sugar and milk as desired. I love my oatmeal really creamy so i used a lot of powdered milk.
Now your delicious breakfast of oatmeal and plantain is ready.
Thank you for reading and i hope you will try it sometime at home.
