Vegetable soup is commonly known as Edikanikong soup.
Ingredients Combination
Salt, Maggi, pepper, crayfish,pal
m oil, periwinkle
, stock fish, waterleaf etc
Steps To Follow
Season your meat and stock fish
very well,wash your water leaf to remove sand,wash the vegetable very well and slice it also slice the water leaf,
Cut your periwinkle and wash it very well
Make sure all you need is in place like ur oil,salt, pepper, Maggi etc
How To prepare Edikanikong
Note: you don't need water when cooking.
Put your pot on fire,put your well slice waterleaf into the pot and add two cubes of Maggi to it and small salt,put your crayfish and palm oil then you cover the pot for like 2 minutes.
You don't need water because the waterleaf will bring out water of it own.
open the pot and put your periwinkle inside and cover the pot to allow the periwinkle cook.
Turn the pot to avoid it from getting burn,
Make sure to put your vegetable last in order to maintain it's freshness.
Jus like this
After putting my water leaf I turn the soup so it won't get burn
I as well taste the soup to know if I should put more ingredients
I allowed the soup to boil for 2 minutes before putting my
periwinkle,I cover the pot and open it after few seconds and pot my vegetable
and
my delicious Edikanikong soup
is ready.
it's very simple to prepare and it doesn't consume time.
