Hello SteemFood pips! Sorry for not cooking for you guys for 2 days. I just needed to take a quick break due to my very busy schedule. But now, let's start cooking again!
Last Episode, we had a famous Filipino dish called, Spicy Tuna Sisig. And today, we will have another well-known Filipino dish called "Maruya" or "Filipino Banana Fritters". Maruya is one of the most famous Filipino delicacies. They are perfect for snacks or dessert. They are usually coated with batter with sugar on top. But today, we will have a different twist. We will make something new and you should try this one. You'll surely love this. Check this out!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Cowbell Condensed milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 pack ube jam
- 2 packs Eden Cheese Sulit Pack
- 3 tablespoon oil
- 3 pcs medium size egg
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 8 pcs ripe banana
Let's go with the Procedures
Step 1
Prepare the banana. We prefer a ripe but solid banana and not overripe. Peel the banana and slice it thinly. After peeling and slicing it, put it in a bowl and set it aside for awhile. Check out the photo below for your reference.
Step 2
In a clean bowl, beat the egg using a whisker and add the flour and the sugar. Continue beating until the mixture is smooth and the flour is dissolved. Take note to not over mix it. Then pour it to the sliced banana afterwards.
Step 3
Put the frying pan in the stove with medium heat then add oil. Make sure to set the stove on optimal temperature. We do not want the batter to burn. Next is to fry a small portion of the mixture. Well, it depends on your desired size, i prefer it to be bite size only. Continue frying until it turns golden brown both sides.
Step 4
Put the ube jam on top then sprinkle it with cheese. Put the condensed milk afterwards.
Step 5
Transfer it to the serving plate. Happy Eating! 😊
