Hello to everyone. Today I want to talk to you about the other side of Turkish cuisine. Foreign tourists visiting Turkey generally know and prefer kebabs and desserts, but we have many dishes known as pot dishes.

Today, I will talk about one of the most beautiful dishes that every Turk loves without exception, the baked beans-rice menu. Rich, poor, young, old, beautiful or ugly, everyone eats beans.

Dried beans are a rich source of nutritional value, with its protein, carbohydrate and fiber-containing structure, it is both a satisfying and healthy food source. The nutritional values ​​of a medium portion of dry bean meal are as follows;

Let's come to the preparation of the meal;

First of all, it should be noted that everyone cooks this dish differently, even though there are slight differences.

Soak as many beans as you can in a bowl of cold water the day before so your beans will swell a little and it will be easier to cook. Let's boil the beans that we soaked in water until they are soft and do not rattle in the mouth. In the meantime, if we are going to make meat, let's fry oil, onion and meat in a separate pot. When the meat releases some water and cooks in its own juice, let's add tomato paste, tomato and green pepper. When we roast a little more and our meat becomes half cooked, then we add hot water and let it cook on low heat. The important thing here is to cook the meat without adding the beans, because our beans will already be boiled, and if they are overcooked, they will fall apart. When our meat is cooked, we add the boiled beans and continue cooking for a while so that the tastes are identical, adjust the water according to the meal.Do not forget to add salt and spices, I forgot.😅

First, we wash enough rice to get rid of its starch. Let the oil heat up by adding butter and a little oil to the pan. Let's add barley noodle to the hot oil and fry it, when it turns brown, add the rice and fry it for a while, then add enough hot water to cover the rice by an inch, cover the lid and let it cook on low heat. When the water is gone, turn off the bottom and put a paper towel on it and let it brew.

Although the Greek people try to protect it, it is something that belongs to the Turks. Let's put yoghurt in a bowl and get a homogeneous consistency with the help of a spoon, grate the cucumber and add the salt, and mix it by adding a little cold water. We can flavor it by adding mint and chili peppers at the time of serving.
