Last night, I made Chicken Chilli Dry. I'm not much of a fan of Chinese cuisine but I absolutely love this dish. I have made it quite a few times by now.

I have recorded the recipe and sharing it here with you all. I hope you guys will love it. I absolutely love all the recipes that people share here.

Chicken Chilli Dry

Ingredients

Ingredients

1- Boneless cube/ sliced chicen 250g
2- Salt to taste
3- Black pepper to taste
4- Cornflour 2 tbsp
5- Garlic 5 cloves
6- Green Chillies 5
7- Bell Pepper 1 large
8- Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
9- Soy sauce 2 tbsp
10- Chilli sauce 1 tbsp
11- Honey 2 tsp
12- Onion 1 large (it's optional that's why I haven't pictured it with ingredients)
13- Oil for frying

Method

Marination

Marinate the chicken with salt, black pepper and cornflour. You can add chilli sauce, soy sauce and oyster sauce at this stage too. Leave it for half an hour.

Deep Frying Chicken

After 30 minutes deep fry the chicken for just 2 to 3 minutes in medium to high flame. Don't over do it because the chicken won't remain soft and juicy at the end.

Sauté Garlic

Crush and sauté the garlic until crisp golden.

Add chicken

Now add chicken into the sautéed garlic and stir it thoroughly.

Add chilies

Now add green chilies. If you are not fan of too much spice then you can deseed the chilies to minimize the effect.

Cut Bell pepper and Onion

Cut bell pepper and onion in whatever shape you like. (Onion is completely optional, I like it that's why I add it sometimes)

Add bell pepper and onion

Add honey

Now add honey and cook it until onion and pepper and slightly tender. The chicken will also cook along if there are undone parts. Don't cook too much if you like your veggies chunky.
In this step, you can check the flavors and add more sauces(mentioned in ingredients) and condiments to enhance the flavor.

That's me stirring my chicken chili dry

Looks very good! Reminds me of the szechuan version. If you like spicy I'd recommend giving it a try! Here's a recipe https://www.chinasichuanfood.com/mala-chicken/

Oh wow! Thankyou for sharing the link. I will try it some time.
