The beloved homeland of Indonesia has many kinds of special culinary. Each region has its mainstay cuisine with a different taste. The culinary delights of the homeland are known all over the world. Even culinary hunters are willing to come specifically to their homeland to enjoy these dishes directly at their place of origin. One of the areas in the country that has a distinctive culinary and is a target for Aceh. The province, which is located at the western tip of the island of Sumatra, is one of the regions that has many typical culinary delights that are well known in the archipelago and even abroad.
One of Aceh's specialties that has become a community and also my and my family's favorite is Kuah Pliek U which is very legendary. Pliek U sauce is a typical Acehnese cuisine made from a mixture of various vegetables plus the main seasoning, namely pliek U. Pliek U is only available in the Aceh area and is a seasoning made from grated coconut that has been fermented for 3 days. Then dried in the sun for a few days to dry. Here I will share a simple Acehnese Pliek U soup recipe which is very delicious.

Soak the pliek u in hot water for about ten minutes until cold, then puree with a blender and strain. Blend the steamed coconut and then squeeze out the thin coconut milk. Boil the melinjo fruit until soft. Cut the vegetables into small pieces or according to taste, grind the spices until smooth and chop the chopped herbs. Put all the vegetable ingredients into the pan, ground spices, chopped herbs, shrimp, salt, and pliek u juice and stir until smooth. Add enough water and bring to a boil. After a little boil, add the thin coconut milk and stir so that the coconut milk is evenly distributed. After all the ingredients are almost cooked, add the chopped vegetables and add the lime leaves. Wait a few moments and the pliek u sauce is ready to be served.
