Today’s recipe is on Konkonte With Beef Groundnut soup.
Konkonte is a Ghanaian dish mainly eaten by some northerners. It’s more of Nigerian to thou but the ingredient used differ .
Ingredients Needed.
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Pepper
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Groundnut paste
- Beef
- Fish
- Konkonte flour
Let’s have a look at the pictures of the ingredients for us to know them very well .

After getting all our ingredients set .
I think we are ready to kick start.
Let’s begin with the soup . The Groundnut paste is mixed with some quantity of water
So we will be getting something like this

The solution or the mixture is heated and allowed to boil for about 30 minutes
We will then add the tomatoes onions and pepper into the mixture and allowed to boil for like 15 minutes to soften it for easy blending
After 15 minutes the tomatoes, onions and pepper are removed from the mixture getting us something like this
We now steam the beef and fish together with the help of blended garlic and ginger with some pepper.

After 30 minutes of boiling the groundnut paste and water we add our steamed beef and fish and the blended tomatoes, onions and pepper.
We allow the soup to boil for another 30 minutes for it to be well cooked . So we will be getting something like this

Now let’s come back to our Konkonte preparation.
We first start by boiling some small amount of water in our saucepan.
After some number of minutes, you start stirring and adding the Konkonte flour bits by bits and stirring gently to ensure that all the lumps in the flour are mashed well.
The stirring continues vividly to make sure the flour is very soft and smooth. Incase the flour becomes hard , little warm water can be added and allowed to boil for some time .
This will be the outcome of the stirring process.

Now our Konkonte with Beef Groundnut soup is ready for eating.
