Hello Steemians, I am so glad to be sharing my first recipe on this platform. Cooking for me comes naturally and I really enjoy making native food because I love eating them. Today I'll be sharing the how to make Ogbono soup in a fast, delicious and interesting way.
Let me start by listing my ingredients

  • Ogbona (ducanut)
  • Palm oil
  • Meat (in this case goat meat)
  • Yellow pepper
  • Uziza leaf
  • Ugwu leaf (pumpkin leaf)
  • Stock fish
  • Dry fish
  • know seasoning cube
  • Pomo

One thing I do to make my cooking fast is to ensure all my ingredients are ready .
First thing to do once all your ingredients are clean and ready is to boil your meat. I boil my meat with salt, maggi, yellow pepper and know seasoning cubes. Leave to boil

Then I add my Pomo and stock fish which I have cleaned thoroughly. I leave for another 5 minutes then add my dry fish.
When all these are almost soft enough to eat I will heat my palm oil and ground Ogbono in a small pot on very low heat.
Leave for another 8 - 10 minutes then add my sliced okro and finally my uziza and ugwu leaf.
I will only allow it boil without covering my pot so as to allow the soup draw properly.
This sounds so yummy 😋

Another very important thing is to serve hot. You can accompany this dish with any swallow of your choice, from eba , semovita, wheat, pounded yam, fufu e.t.c
