Hello Steemians,
I'm so glad for another opportunity to share my food recipes with you all. Today I'll be showing you how to make our local palm oil rice and beans. This is one of my personal favorites as I am a huge fan of anything made from palm oil.
Let me start by listing out my ingredients:
- Rice
- Beans
- Smoked Titus fish
- Cray fish
- Palm oil
- Iru(locust beans)
- Pepper
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Bell peppers
- Salt
- Seasoning cubes
The first step in making this delicacy is washing and then per boiling your beans. While you are per boiling your beans it's advisable to have hot water already boiled to make your cooking easier and faster.
Pour the beans out of the water into a colander
At this point you put your beans back on fire and cook a bit before adding the rice
On the other hand you begin your palm oil sauce. Which you begin by pouring your palm oil into a dry pot and heating for a bit before pouring your groung tomatoes, pepper and onions.
This you leave to cook properly then season to taste. When your sauce is almost ready you add crayfish and your properly washed smoked Titus fish.
Once your sauce is done and your rice and beans are almost soft you pour in the sauce and mix it in properly.
Leave to cook for 8 minutes and FOOD IS READY!!!
Pour your sliced onions just for a finishing touch.
Thanks @steemfoods for the opportunity to share my recipes. I look forward to doing more of this on this wonderful platform.
A delicious meal how I wish to have a plate of the food
