I prepared this post in order to participate in the new contest that adds a new excitement to the Steemit platform.

I will give you a recipe for a pastry that I always love to make.
It's a practical and easy-to-make pastry.
We will prepare our pastry with ready-made yufka. Unfortunately, I don't know how to roll dough. For people like me who don't know how to roll dough, ready-made dough is a really good solution.
Moreover, even if you know how to roll dough, you can still use ready-made dough when you don't have time or you want to prepare dough.

Now let's start explaining our practical burrito recipe.

Spinach Rose Pie Recipe

The reason why the name of the pastry is rose is because the shape of the pastry resembles a rose.

I prepared the pastry with spinach. Since I am a person from the Aegean region, I love pastries prepared with herbs. If you want, you can also prepare different stuffing.

Necessary materials

  • One kilo of spinach (10 TL about 1.20 steem)
  • 700 grams of feta cheese (45 TL Approx. 6 steems)
  • Olive oil
  • Egg
  • 6 pieces of ready-made pastry dough ( 18 TL About 2 Steems)
  • Sesame

First, we prepare the inner mortar of the pastry.
For this, we clean the spinach and chop it coarsely. Then we wash it beautifully. Be careful while washing. Soak the chopped spinach in water for at least half an hour so that it gets rid of dust and mud completely. Then keep it in a strainer to get rid of excess water.

Next, let's prepare the brioche sauce.
For the sauce, we put two egg whites and 3 tablespoons of yogurt in a bowl. Add a glass of oil to it.


I use olive oil as oil. If you want a lighter pastry, you can use sunflower oil.

We only use the egg white for the sauce. We'll use the egg yolk later on to brush the pastry.
We add baking powder in a package to the sauce of the pastry.
After adding all the ingredients, mix the sauce well.

Then we prepare the pastry dough. For this, all we have to do is divide the phyllo into 4 parts. You can do this with the help of a knife. But I'm tearing it apart by hand. In this way, it is much more practical to prepare the pastry.

We are completing the preparation of the spinach filling of the pastry. For this, we take the spinach in a deep bowl and add the white cheese on it and mix it well. I also did not add salt. I thought the salt of the cheese would be enough. Do not forget to adjust the salt of the stuffing according to the type of cheese you use.

We can start preparing the pastry.
We lay a piece of phyllo on a flat surface. We apply the sauce of the pastry on it with the help of a brush.
We put some stuffing on the dough as you can see in the photo.

We can start preparing the pastry.
We lay a piece of phyllo on a flat surface. We apply the sauce of the pastry on it with the help of a brush.
We put some stuffing on the dough as you can see in the photo.

We repeat this process until all the dough and stuffing is finished. We place the pastries we prepared on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.

We whisk the egg yolk. With the help of a brush, we apply the egg yolk to the surface of the pastries.

I find the sesame on the pastries to be both delicious and visually beautiful. So you can not add it if you don't want to.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on the pastry.

We bake the pastries we prepared in a preheated 180 degree fan oven. Cooking time may differ in ovens.
That's why we cook our pastry until the surface and bottom of it are browned.

After my pastries pass the initial temperature, we take them on a serving plate and serve. I recommend serving the pastries hot.

Don't be intimidated by the fact that it took me a long time to explain my recipe. Since I want to share all the details with you, my article has been a little long. Preparing the pastry was very practical and took a short time.
My preparation time for the pastry is approximately 2 hours. However, the reason why the semolina is so long is that I kept the spinach in water for about an hour. If you only use your stuffing as cheese or if you prepare it beforehand, the preparation time for the pastry will be at most one hour. This time includes cooking the pastry and placing it on a serving plate.

Note: I prepare this pastry in large quantities and store it in the freezer without cooking.
When I want to cook it later, I take it out of the freezer, sprinkle egg yolk on its surface, and bake it by putting it in the oven at 180 degrees without waiting for it to defrost.
Also, there were times when I kept the cooked pastries in the freezer.
If the pastries are cooked, I take them out of the freezer for a few hours and warm them in the oven to make them ready to serve.

You can also prepare your pastry, store it in the freezer and cook it practically when you need it.

Finally, I would like to share with you how much it costs to prepare the pastry by making an average calculation.
The total cost of a tray of pastry is between 80 - 100 TL. (Approximately 10-13 Steems)
