KITCHEN EQUIPMENT ANALYSIS PART 1

In my previous post earlier, I made mentioned on discussing about kitchen's right tools and it uses... Now there is a subject for a start.

SAUCEPANS:

Saucepans comes in quite different shapes, sizes, and colours, so does a beginner knows what to choose for his or her personal preference. To think of it, it's often that what a person is used to is it's what he or she will master best. It's probably fair to say that no one particular type of Saucepan can serve every type of need.
I have prepared foods with different sorts
of Saucepan myself, and above are my opinions on them. But, one important point is, how do you prevent cookware sticking? Just always follow manufacturer's instructions on how to season new Saucepans, frying pans etc.

HEAVY-GUAGE ALUMINUM:

This is one of my choice in talk of it's cleanliness. This particular Saucepan offer all round reliability and a good, even heat conductor . They are easy to keep clean, sometimes the aluminum inside scratches out with a small mark or flaw which spoils the appearance of the Saucepan, but this is easily corrected by boiling up water in them, or you can add a little lemon juice or vinegar. Very hard wearing and should last a lifetime.

Warning: Food should not be allowed to stand too long in them as the metal can react unfavorable on the food.

ENAMELLED CAST IRONWARE:

Enamelled cast iron ware are usually heavy and for this reason they hold on to heat for a longer period. They came in different varieties such in colour that makes them looks very attractive. Yet it has it's own disadvantage. It is very necessary to use two hands to lift a large Saucepan full of something cooking. If they are dropped on a hard surface they can chip or even break. If u conversant in uses if Enamelled cast iron ware, u will notice that sauces tend to stick and catch if one is in hurry and haven't kept the heat lower as it's supposed to be. Finally, the inside Enamelled surface can become badly stained, though an overnight soak in a washing powder solution can help.
