SteemFoods Food Donation #9 | Giving Food Packs To The Children

There are a lot of reasons why giving is so very important. It is a way to show a big appreciation, to say thank you, or to show someone that you care to them. Sometimes it is so hard to express real feelings in words, but offering a token of appreciation will not only constitute your feelings, but also it will allow the recipient to know how much you appreciate them.

While giving doesn't always have to be a gift, offering a nice and kind word or a friendly smile goes a long way in saying thank you for all you do, and will encourage the chances of a friendly and successful relationship in the middle of this pandemic.

Giving is an important trait to teach children a good manners. For example, if a child helps pick out a gift for his family member who is celebrating a birthday and presents them with this gift, it teaches them not to be selfish, how to share or give and to appreciate the pleasure of giving to others. And that is exactly what we did to the children here in our community to make them feel that there's someone like us who care even in a simple ways and teach them to be generous.

The Covid-19 pandemic hasn't stopped us to give children a food packs and to give themselves a satisfaction of the food that they eat. With the help of Sangguniang Kabataan in our barangay, we fulfilled our desire to give children a food packs (McDonald chicken meal and minute maid juice drinks). Because, in our community only few can buy a delicious food for their kids because of lack of budget.

We lined them up and asked them to wear a face mask to avoid viruses outside.

Since the food is limited only for 11 children, we chose only to those who can't afford to buy. Maybe next time we are praying that we can afford to give them all but for now I am saying sorry to them because it is only limited due to lack of our budget also.

As I gave the food to their hands I could feel how much they want to taste delicious food.

After serving the children, I walk around where they positioned to eat. And I was amazed to see some of them sharing the food to their friends who were not able to get one and I felt that they applied to themselves the good deeds and the importance of giving.

I was happy seeing them full of joy and satisfied for the food that they ate. It's a big pleasure for me that I was one of those who helped.
